Dry Skin No More: Easy Home Remedies for Dry, Itchy Skin

Two old ladies were sitting on a bench in the park outside the town hall where a flower show was in progress. One leaned over and said: "Life is so dang boring. We never have any fun anymore! For five dollars I take off my clothes and show line through the stupid flower."
"You're next!" said the other old lady, holding a $ 5.00 bill.
The first little old lady tried to slow their way out of her clothes and completely naked, streaked (as fast as an old lady can)to show through the front door of the flower.

Many of us know that we do not push to eighty years old, suffers from dry skin, especially during the cold winter months. WhenOvens are rays, wood stoves are rustling and crackling fireplaces, our skin can pay the price. Space heaters and electric blankets can dry the skin, and so can the excessive use of tanning beds and saunas.
Dry, flaky skin is not an illness, it is a condition – caused by a lack of moisture or water into the epidermis (the outermost layer of skin.) The epidermis is composed primarily of tissue from the sulfur-containing fibrous proteins called keratin, thesame chemical basis as hair and nails. Keratin needs water to make them supple and flexible. When the moisture evaporates quickly, the result is dry, itchy skin.
Consider what happens when you have a fresh, soft bread and slice it into the toaster for two minutes. The heat removes the moisture and the bread is hard, dry and crumbly.

Sunshine helps the body convert vitamin D, and exercise helps to circulate the blood through the body. Good circulation is vital for good health.
While some of us are in line to win "best dried arrangement" prize, many of us know the discomfort of the fight against dry, itchy skin during the cold winter months.
